Numero Blu’s attention to environmental protection, social responsibility and workers’ welfare has always been at the highest levels and we chose to go ‘green’, ethically and consciously, to minimise company’s environmental impact.
The company’s objective is to increasingly adopt conscious production and consumption models, encouraging a strategy that promotes corporate sustainability: reducing energy consumption, bettering the work environment and applying Plastic / Carbon-Free projects are just some of the actions implemented in the field of ESG (Environment, Sustainability, Governance).
These virtuous behaviours all work together for achieving the Goal #12 of Agenda 2030 Project, a project related to sustainability and environmental preservation that Numero Blu has decided to embrace and share with its employees and collaborators.
The project
The Project is being developed in compliance with the 17 Goals defined by the 2030 Agenda – effective since January 1st, 2016, and signed by 150 international leaders – aimed at global development and at the promotion of human well-being.
Numero Blu has also decided to focus on a restricted choice of certified suppliers, a more prudent energy consumption policy – starting with purchases – dedicated training sessions for its employees, and reforestation projects involving national and international urban areas. Furthermore, Numero Blu is member of non-profit associations aimed at spreading the culture of social responsibility and sustainability among companies.
Plastic-Free Project, for conscious water consumption.
Plastic bottles, in addition to having an environmental impact due to disposal, are the cause of the increase of carbon dioxide, consequence of a long ‘chain’ of polluting production steps: manufacturing each single 500-ml plastic bottle causes the estimated emission of 0.08 kg of CO2.
That is why Numero Blu implemented the Plastic-Free project that implies a gradual elimination of plastic bottles and their replacement with personalised Numero-Blu water bottles given as a gift to each employee. Also, the water supply is ensured by non-stop by free-distribution columns placed everywhere around our offices.
Our annual target is to reduce CO2 emissions by 48,000 kg
Carbon-Free Project: a successfully overcome challenge to benefit the Planet and defend it from climate change
Numero Blu owns a green soul and has recently launched a two-fold initiative: a Health Challenge, which aims to encourage a healthy lifestyle in employees and, at the same time, support the Eden Reforestation Projects environmental project, which aims to restore forests in the world’s most deprived areas, protecting ecosystems and helping to mitigate climate change.
Achievements to date:
- 340 trees planted in different countries, including Nepal, Kenya and Madagascar
- 8,610 kg CO2 emissions absorbed
- 74,700 km travelled
- 5,000 hours of sport practiced
- 2,300 challenges launched
